Ms Zoë Slater
Wellcome Trust doctoral researcher looking at experimental women’s fiction about mental health experiences from the 1960s to the present day
Research and Teaching Interests
Focused on issues relating to the representation of mental illness; how dominant narratives about illness experiences shape literary expectations, how women writers challenge such narratives through the use of experimental form. I am doing archival research into zines about mental health at the Wellcome Trust collection and at Glasgow Women’s Library.
