I was awarded my PhD by the University of Strathclyde in 2004.

 

I am a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. I serve on the Boards of the Disability History Association and the Scottish Records Association.  I am Reviews Editor for H-Disability.

I am a historian of disability focusing mainly on the period covering the late eighteenth century to the mid-twentieth century.
