Susan Gardiner is a final-year PhD student based at the Centre for the History of Medicine and working under the supervision of Professor Marguerite Dupree and Professor Malcolm Nicolson. Her current research explores the history of antibiotics, antibiotic resistance and infection control in two Scottish hospitals, c.1930-1970.
