Our Seed Scheme awards offer small grants (in the range £200-£1000) to support Early Career Researchers in research and knowledge exchange activities that enhance medical humanities in Glasgow, and which offer potential for future larger-scale development.
Indicative activities might include: pump-priming new research; workshops, meetings and seminars; archival research and/or enhancement; stakeholder engagement and consultation; piloting of new research methods or ideas; innovations in knowledge exchange.
Applicants should normally be of postdoctoral standing but not in a permanent academic post
OR postgraduate research students in their third year or later of PhD study (or equivalent for part-time study). However, exceptions may be made for applicants whose research trajectory does not follow the standard academic path (e.g. creative writers, artists, performers, clinicians, and others).
The applicant must be supported by a named mentor located at an eligible Glasgow Higher Education Institution, or at an eligible civic collection. Both applicant and mentor should have joined the Network and have completed up-to-date Network profiles.
The 2019 round is now open, for a deadline of Thursday 19 December 2019.
